Serenity Jiu Jitsu is a martial arts gym in North Tyneside providing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes to children, schools, after school programs and adults. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a contact sport that is based around leverage, rather than strength, and timing to overcome an opponent, with classes in gi and no-gi disciplines and suitable for all ages.
Serenity Jiu Jitsu headed up by Jonny, a school teacher by trade but a lover of the sport by heart, offers one on one support and group classes to all members wanting all of his members to understand the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and self-defence in a practical, safe and enjoyable environment.
Practicing a martial art, particularly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, has been shown to build confidence, improve safety and awareness skills, and better health, body and mind. With our members even saying, “I never would of thought getting strangled would be so much fun excellent coaching! Very friendly relaxed atmosphere! Learnt so much in the short time I’ve been!” and members parents saying, “my child’s confidence has improved… he has made new friends at the club.
Outside of the standard classes, which we plan to expand on in the future, Jonny has also spent time with pupils from schools in the North Tyneside area. The majority of those pupils had very limited experience of martial arts but with our influence and passion have decided to take up the sport with us. The teachers even noted that they noticed an improved attitude to learning and sense of personal drive for many of the pupils too.
Away from the gym and in front of the computer Serenity Jiu Jitsu has won a few Twitter competitions, Theo Paphtis’ #SBS, Kelly Hoppen’s #KSBH, Aqua Design Group’s #KingOf, Bright Pig’s #BrightPigWinner and Market Me’s #SmartSocial. These wins have increased our Twitter following and engagement.
What we were missing for our paperwork and clothing labels was a bespoke company logo stamp…until Stamptastic came to our rescue! Here’s it in action …
