While we’re still in the twilight zone that is Christmas, New Year’s, and those first few days of January, if you’re anything like us, your brain might just be beginning to fizz with the impending return to school and nursery. The juggle waits for no parent!

Label those school and nursery clothes!
Whether you’re a school run veteran or more new to the world that is school uniform and nursery name labels, one way you can limit the stress of lost clothing is by appropriately labeling your children’s clothes with personalised name stamps. While common methods are name stickers and sew-in labels, we firmly believe that a good quality name stamp is the way to go. Prep the bag the night before
Nothing says school run stress like a frantic grab for all the things your child might need that morning. Avoid this by preparing your school or nursery bags the night before, from drinks bottles to PE kits, reading books and homework. Get everything ready then pop on the side.
Get outfits and uniform sets bundled in advance
Another great hack to minimise morning stress is by pre-preparing sets of uniforms or nursery clothes. This could be on a hanger - simply hang up an underwear, top, trouser, and jumper combination when you’re popping your washing away into wardrobes or drawers. Alternatively this could be in piles in drawers, too. It’s much easier to pop uniforms into piles when putting washing away than grabbing everything the morning of - plus, this way you’ll keep on top of whether any particular items from an outfit are missing (and if they’re at school or nursery, and labelled, you’ll know it’s easy for them to be found!).
Keep a family calendar
If you’re in the school phase of life, or have a particularly busy nursery, you’ll know that every other week there is likely some kind of theme, event, or activity which requires extra kit! A great way to try and avoid the dreaded ‘oh no I forgot none uniform day!’ is by keeping a visible family calendar in a central place. Each time a new event is shared, add it to the calendar - then check the calendar the weekend or night before each school or nursery day to prep what you’ll need!
