Starting School: Getting Dressed Activity Card
Have you got a child starting reception class in September?
Dressing Skills include putting on and taking off clothes, shoes and coats plus mastering fastenings including buttons, zips and velcro. The adult-to-child ratio is much lower in school and therefore children require a high level of independence. Children need lots of practice before they start school. These skills are vital in school particularly in the cloakroom and changing for PE.
