As part of #StamptasticSmallBizShoutOut we choose a small business we would like to feature and send them a customised rubber stamp for them to use for their packaging and products. This week we are delighted to announce that the #StamptasticSmallBizShoutOut is Orkid Ideas! Let's find out some more about them from owners Clare and Deborah....
We’re Clare and Deborah, the Orkid Ideas team. We set up the business in 2012 so we could design and develop a visual support system inspired by Clare’s son Tomas, who has autism. We wanted to create a child-friendly, portable and easy to personalise tool to help children remember what to pack in their bag for school.
TomTag has now grown into a complete visual support system that helps children to build coping strategies to manage their day, using structure, organisation and predictability. This unique system saves busy parents and teachers a lot of time when making visual supports - the traditional DIY way involves lots of printing, laminating, cutting and Velcro.
Just like TomTag, Stamptastic Rubber Stamps are a great time-saving visual aid for busy families, so we were delighted to receive our small business Personalized Stamp to play with. We’ll be using our custom stamp to introduce an extra little treat into every TomTag kit that customers can colour in and personalise. We’ll be inviting them to share a pic on social media of their bespoke stamped label in use with their TomTag kit – can’t wait to see all the places they get to!
