We are delighted to announce that this weeks #StamptasticSmallBizShoutOut is The Crafty Lass! It's so cool to see their customised logo stamp in action and we can't wait to find out all about this Small UK Biz from the owner Paula......
The Crafty Lass® is a craft workshops and creative commissions company that aims to get people Making, Creating, and Inspiring themselves, and others. Workshops are held at The Crafty Lass® HQ - 'The Old Grain Store' workshop studio in the beautiful village of Lower Boddington, Northamptonshire - full of rustic charm, yet a stylish, industrial setting.
Our workshops are intended for adults to be therapeutic, not 'difficult' or 'exclusive' - just some crafty time out from our busybusybusy modern day lives. A chance to learn a new skill, relax, meet fellow likeminded people - and make something both unique and beautiful at the same time! Just a nice, crafty and sociable gathering!
The business was established in 2015 when I reached a limit with my 9-5 and decided that self-employment was the way forward! This would allow me to use my creative skills to better use - whilst also having a more flexible life by running my own business. I now work a lot more hours than ever before, but it is so worth it! It became clear quite quickly there was a market for adults to enjoy more creativity and from starting out mobile, to now having a dedicated studio to teach from it has been quite a journey…
We’ve had a very exciting year this year – from winning Theo Paphitis #SBS (Small Business Sunday) competition, to teaching at Kirstie Allsopp’s Handmade Fair, featuring in several national press interviews, new product launches, appearances on shopping TV, and being asked to teach at the WI college ‘Denman’ amongst a few of the highlights - it has certainly been busy!
Our plans for 2019 from a business perspective include new ideas for workshops, several already confirmed handmade commissions for weddings and events – but from a personal perspective things might be temporarily on hold as we are expecting a baby in June 2019!
I am so excited to have our logo as a Custom Stamp to use on our stationery and create branded packaging for crafters to leave with their makes and creates in. Having a Personalized Stamp just provides flexibility as to what we can ‘brand’ – from our pink and white striped sweetie style bags, to using on slips that are sent out with any craft materials, products or commissions purchased. I just think having our logo as a Rubber Stamp makes a strong visual, professional and branded statement.
