Last week I was delighted to be invited to a exclusive reception at the House of Lords to celebrate the Small business campaign f:Entrepreneur, which highlights inspiring female business leaders across the UK. The campaign celebrated its #ialso100 list of female business owners for the second year. In 2019 I was lucky enough to be featured in the #ialso100 list (read more here)
It was an early start! I arrived at Westminster for 8am enough time to get some photos and pass securirty which can always take a while.
Eyes always closed! But had to get this photo as it's such a beautiful setting!
Trying to win the best photo competition!
Always delicious food at the House of Lords! Really wanted to nab one of those beautiful coffee cups but thought better of it 😜
Here I am with Anne Kiem OBE (Chief Executive of the Chartered Association of Business Schools and Executive Director of the Small Business Charter) and Michelle Ovens MBE (Founder of Small Business Britain and Director Small Business Saturday UK). Michelle is such an inspiration and ever since I have met her good things have come our way including winning the Best Digital Business at The Small Awards 2019 and being in the Top 100 Businesses Small Business Saturday 2019.
Always got to get a selfie with Lord Young of Graffham, the host of the event and supporter of small businesses.
I absolutely loved meeting up with other female entrepreneurs.
After the House of Lords Breakfast Reception I was invited by Small Business Britain to give a 15 minute presentation of my Top Digital Tips at the beautiful boutique Revival Retro. Everyone loved the text replacement tip!
After Revival Retro most of us went on to the next event at The Phoenix Arts Club for lunch and more networking. I had such a lovely day and was honoured to be invited back to participate in this years campaign. Thank you for having me 😀
